The manuscript type selected in OJS corresponds to the content of the submission.
- Manuscript template: The manuscript has been prepared using the Interacciones Author Manuscript Template. Authors have completed all applicable sections of the template and have not altered the journal’s required structure unnecessarily.
- Title, abstract, and keywords: The manuscript includes a clear title of 18 words or fewer, a structured abstract in English of no more than 300 words with the sections Background, Objective, Method, Results, and Conclusions, and at least five keywords based on MeSH terms.
- Authorship and author contributions: All listed authors meet the journal’s authorship criteria, have approved the manuscript, agree with the order of authorship, and accept responsibility for the content of the work. The specific contribution of each author has been reported using the CRediT taxonomy in the corresponding section of the manuscript.
- Ethical approval and research integrity: The manuscript complies with applicable ethical principles, intellectual property rules, and copyright laws. For studies involving human participants, the manuscript reports ethics approval (mandatory in original papers), informed consent, and relevant ethical safeguards. The authors confirm that the study does not involve fabrication, falsification, omission of data, plagiarism, or other forms of research misconduct.
- Conflicts of interest and funding: All authors have disclosed any potential conflicts of interest and all sources of funding in the manuscript. The Adapted ICMJE Disclosure Form has been completed when applicable. If there are no conflicts of interest or funding sources, this has been explicitly stated.
- Letter of originality and permissions: The signed Letter of Originality has been completed and uploaded when required. The authors confirm that they own the rights to the manuscript content or have obtained the necessary permissions for any copyrighted material, tables, figures, instruments, or other third-party content included in the submission.
- References and citation style: All in-text citations and references follow APA 7th edition style. The reference list is ordered alphabetically, all works cited in the text appear in the reference list, all references listed are cited in the text, and DOI or URL links have been provided whenever available.
- Reporting guidelines: The manuscript follows the appropriate reporting guideline when applicable, according to the study design: CONSORT for randomized trials, PRISMA for systematic reviews or meta-analyses, STROBE for observational studies, COREQ for qualitative research, STARD for diagnostic accuracy studies, TRIPOD for prediction model studies, CHEERS for economic evaluations, TREND for quasi-experimental studies, PRISMA-P for systematic review protocols, SPIRIT for clinical trial protocols, or CARE for case reports.
- Clinical trial registration, when applicable: If the manuscript reports a randomized clinical trial conducted in Peru, the study has been registered in the Peruvian Clinical Trials Registry and the registration number has been included in the manuscript. If this item does not apply, the authors may indicate this in the Comments to the Editor.
- Tables, figures, and supplementary materials: All tables and figures are cited in the text and placed near the appropriate section of the manuscript. Figure and table titles, notes, abbreviations, and permissions have been included when necessary. Supplementary files, instruments, datasets, code, or appendices have been uploaded separately when applicable.
- Data availability and open science: The manuscript includes a Data Availability Statement. When possible, authors have provided access to databases, code, instruments, transcripts, or other materials that allow replication of the study, either as supplementary files or through an external repository such as OSF or Figshare. If data cannot be shared, the reason has been clearly stated.
- Generative artificial intelligence: The manuscript includes a declaration on the use of generative artificial intelligence tools. If such tools were used, the authors have described their role. If no generative artificial intelligence tools were used, this has been explicitly stated.
- Self-citation limit: The manuscript complies with the journal’s self-citation policy. Citations to works authored by any of the manuscript authors do not exceed 10% of the reference list, unless a justification has been provided in a letter to the editor.
Original paper
Qualifies as an original article, empirical manuscripts written in English. It is based on the review of external peers in the double-blind paper review. The author undertakes not to submit simultaneously in other journals the articles submitted for possible publication in Interactions.
Original papers must be submitted in English and prepared using the Interacciones Author Manuscript Template. Authors should complete all applicable sections of the template and remove only sections that are not relevant to their manuscript type.
The author (s) must accompany their proposal with a letter of originality, where they declare to be the author of the proposed document and that it has not been published totally or partially in another print, electronic, internet or any other means of publication. That all sources are duly cited and referenced (adding doi if any). Declares to be the owner of the copyright or to have the authorization of those who own them, of the content and materials included in the article, so any claim on this subject is the sole responsibility of the author.
The letter must be signed by all the corresponding authors and be addressed in PDF format to the email editorial@revistaintecciones.com
The editorial committee of Interactions reserves the right to make the correction of style and editorial changes that it deems necessary to improve the work, in the same way, to advance or postpone the accepted articles with the purpose of giving a better thematic composition to each issue.
The journal "Interacciones" recommends that the minimum guidelines be used for reports on health and behavioral science research provided by the EQUATOR Network when you are making your manuscripts, and FAIRsharing.org to report checklists for research. Authors should adhere to these guidelines when drafting their manuscripts, and peer reviewers will be asked to consult these checklists when evaluating such studies.
1. Randomized clinical trials (CONSORT)
2. Systematic reviews and/or meta-analysis (PRISMA)
3. Observational studies (STROBE)
5. Qualitative research (COREQ)
6. Prognostic/diagnostic studies (STARD and TRIPOD)
7. Economic evaluations (CHEERS)
Review paper
In this type of study, we analyze an existing theory, present a new theory, and contrast the limitations or advantages of one theory with respect to another, analyzing them critically. The structure can be flexible according to the author's criteria, it is suggested: introduction (the approach of the problem and relevant aspects that the author points out), development of the topic (here the sections that allow better visualization of the subject are considered), discussion (contrast of the ideas discussed), conclusions, conflict of interest, financing, and references.
Study protocol
The study protocol is used to transparently report the hypotheses, the fundamentals and the methodology of a study so that in the final study the steps are followed as reported or failing to provide reasonable explanations for a change of the protocol. To conduct this type of study are to avoid publication bias and ensure the reproducibility of the results. Interactions accept different types of the study protocol, but it is recommended to follow EQUATOR guidelines to perform systematic review protocols (PRISMA-P) or randomized clinical trial protocols (SPIRIT).
Case studies
These are reports obtained when working with an individual, group, community or organization. They illustrate a problem; they indicate the means to solve a problem and/or give evidence about new required research, clinical applications or theoretical issues. The following structure is suggested: introduction (the approach of the problem and relevant aspects that the author points out) begins, method (background, evaluation, intervention, etc.), results, discussion, conclusions, conflict of interest, financing, and references.
Interactions strongly recommend that authors adhere as closely as possible to the EQUATOR Case Reports (CARE) document.
Letter to the editor
Letters to the editor are often written in response to a particular article. These letters can be used to highlight some specific points, to correct any misunderstandings or errors that the article contains and to reinforce key messages.
